a - Beneficiaries
The driver of a Peugeot vehicle covered by the Contractual Warranty and those people travelling in the vehicle in question, within the limits of the number of seat positions indicated on the registration certificate of said vehicle.
These benefits do not apply to ambulances, welfare taxis, taxi firms, rental firms and their customers, and vehicles designed for paying passenger transport.
b - Benefits
In the event that the vehicle is off the road following a breakdown covered by the Contractual Warranty, which could not be repaired during the day on which the breakdown occurred, rendering the vehicle unsuitable for driving, a vehicle of an equivalent category at most, without special equipment, could be loaned within the limits of the resources available locally.
The cost of the courtesy car will be covered within the limit of €460.00 VAT inclusive. The length of this loan may not exceed four days.
The place of courtesy car drop-off will be the place of starting of the loan. The driver agrees to comply with the conditions stipulated in the courtesy car loan or hire contract.
The expenses related to use of the courtesy car, and especially fuel, fines, toll and parking expenses, any insurance supplements or excess, and any overrun in the cost of the loan beyond the sum of €460.00 VAT inclusive shall be payable by the beneficiary.
If the vehicle benefiting from the Contractual Warranty cannot be repaired on the day on which the breakdown occurs, is unfit for driving, and if the incident takes place more than 100 kilometres from the beneficiary's customary place of residence, the latter will be entitled, as he (she) chooses:
- Either to the loan of a vehicle to continue the trip within the cost limit of €460.00 VAT inclusive, under the conditions specified above.
- Or to transport to their place of residence or their place of destination in the country in which the breakdown occurs, or to continuation of the trip within a price limit which may not exceed the financial cost of return to their place of residence, for the driver and his (her) passengers, with a first class rail or tourist class air ticket (in the event that more than 8 hours of transport would be necessary by rail). In this case, a one-way ticket for one person, first class rail or tourist class air (if more than 8 hours of transport are necessary by rail), will be provided free of charge to go and fetch the repaired vehicle.
- Or to accommodation on the spot for a cost of up to €61.00 VAT inclusive per passenger per night, with a maximum of 3 nights.
If the vehicle cannot be repaired within the day on which the breakdown occurred, the beneficiary may also be provided, either at the place of the breakdown in case of accommodation, or at his (her) place of residence in case of return, or at his (her) place of destination in case he (she) continues the trip, with a courtesy car within the limits specified above.
c - Limits - Exemptions
In case of a breakdown problem solved within the day, the Customer is entitled to repair and towing but not to the benefits described above.
No contribution will be paid toward expenses for eating, phone calls, fuel, fines, tolls or car parks.
Reimbursement of any services paid for by the beneficiaries will be possible only upon presentation to a member of the Peugeot network of the original invoices for hotel and ticket expenses for rail or air travel, and this within the limits of the conditions set out above.
Moreover, no compensation will be paid for services used by the beneficiaries but excluded from the conditions set out above to offset any services provided for and which might not have been used.
* When calling from abroad calls, the overseas calling party will incur the charges, according to the rates charged by the telecoms operator that s/he uses to originate the call.
