208 HP PETROL ENGINE
With a turbocharged 1.6 THP petrol engine delivering 208 hp, the Peugeot 208 GTi was designed for outstanding performance.
The figures match up: the 208 GTi goes from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.5 seconds and can cover 1,000 metres in just 26.5 seconds. Pick-up is equally impressive: it goes from 50 to 75 mph in six seconds in fifth gear.
WEIGHT/POWER RATIO
The kerb weight of the 208 GTi is just 1,160 kg, giving it an excellent weight/power ratio of 5.58 kg/hp. It also achieves CO2 emissions of just 125 g/km and has a combined drive cycle of 52.3 mpg.
